Welcome to Bethesda Softball!

Bethesda Rec Club provides an opportunity for girls to play organized youth softball in our community. We offer youth softball for girls, ages 4-13, during the spring and fall seasons.

Divisions. Our age divisions are as follows:

4-6U - (Coach Pitch / Tee-Ball)
7-8U – (Coach Pitch)
9-10U – (Kid Pitch)
11-13U – (Kid Pitch)

Birthdate and age cut off date. The league in which your child will play is determined by their age on August 31. If, for example, your daughter is 8 years old on 8/31/23, then she plays in the 8U league in the 8U Division for the 2024 Spring season. The online registration system will automatically default you into the correct age group when you enter your child’s date of birth into the system. A child may play in a higher age bracket upon request to the Softball Commissioner.

Practice. Practices will be held at Bethesda Park. Each team will practice twice per week before the season starts and once a week when season starts.

Where Games Are Played. Bethesda participates in the Williamson County Parks & Recreation (WCPR) League. As a part of the league, WCPR will schedule games across multiple parks across the county including those at Bethesda Park, Brentwood Civitan Park, College Grove Park, Crockett Park, Fly Park, Franklin Softball Fields, Grassland Park, Heritage Park, Cecil Lewis Park, and Nolensville Park.

When Games are played (Spring Schedule).                                    Fall Schedule:
4-6U - Coach Pitch/Tee - Monday/Saturday                                         Mondays
7-8U - Coach Pitch - Tuesday/Saturdays                                          Tuesdays
9-10U - Level A -  Thursday                                                                   Monday
9-10U - Level B - Thursday/Saturdays                                              Thursday
11-13U – Kid Pitch - Monday/Saturdays                                          Mondays
(schedule subject to change)

We do not play Saturday games during the fall season. Instead, the weekday games during the fall season are scheduled as double headers. WCPR schedules weekday games to start at 6PM. Wednesdays are the primary make up date for games cancelled due to weather, but make up games may also be scheduled for Fridays, if necessary.

What the registration fees include: The cost of player registration includes but is not limited to the following: full uniform (jersey, pants, belt, and socks) for each player and shirt for three coaches, equipment (one dozen softballs, catchers gear, batting tee, etc.) for the team, umpire fees for all games, field prep costs throughout the season and league insurance. We provide participation trophies for each player in the 6U program. Uniforms, game balls, and the cost for umpires represent approximately 70% of each child’s registration fee. The remainder of the registration fee goes toward expenses such as field maintenance, equipment, and field chalk.

Registration Discounts. Bethesda offers a $10 sibling discount after the registration of the first child into the program.
